The Voice Team for Your Vocal Care Needs
The Voice Team members at Fauquier ENT Consultants are composed of a variety of key players who may become involved in restoring your normal voice. A given patient may require the expertise of only the physician. Other patients may need to work with all. In the end, the diagnosis and the patient's ultimate goal objective will determine with whom and for how long he/she will need to work with each specialist. Though the individuals listed below make up the core group based on geographic location, we regularly work with other health and voice professionals depending on the patient's needs.
Speech pathologists and singing voice instructors are always welcome to come to an appointment with their student.

Christopher Y. Chang, MD — Read Bio / Resume
Dr. Chang is a laryngology and voice disorders trained otolaryngologist. He personally performs a complete history and physical examination including video-stroboscopy.
Diagnosis of a patient's hoarseness may take up to two separate visits. The first visit covers the basic history and physical examination which includes a fiberoptic laryngoscopy. At that point, a decision will be made whether to proceed with a stroboscopy examination. A stroboscopy examination is a comprehensive voice evaluation ~30 minutes in length of a patient's voice including a vocal cabability battery testing and a fiberoptic/rigid stroboscopic analysis of the voicebox and attendant vocal cord motion. This examination is digitally recorded and copies can be made for the patient. Decision on the kind of treatment will be made at that time and may require working with other members of the Voice Team. If you are self-pay, click here.
He has office hours on all days of the week and operates only on Tuesdays. He also performs Botox injections for patients with spasmodic dysphonia every Friday afternoon.
