About Us

Dr. Christopher Chang, fellowship trained in laryngology and voice disorders, created the team concept for vocal care at Fauquier Hospital in 2005 in order to provide the best possible care and outcome for persons dissatisfied with the quality of their voice/speech. This team concept incorporates the same model used at various voice centers in the United States including Vanderbilt University, Wake Forest University, Duke University, UCLA, etc. To this end, he recruited both hospital-based as well as private practice speech pathologists and voice pedagogues into a core team of professionals to provide vocal/speech care from diagnosis to treatment. As such, the core voice team is actually a consortium of various dedicated individuals reflecting the disparate origins of each member.

The Virginia Voice & Speech Center (VVSC) is composed of several distinct entities including:

Physicians at Fauquier Ear Nose & Throat Consultants, PLC
Voice Therapists & Speech Pathologists
Singing Voice Instructors from Shenandoah University Music Conservatory
Psychological Voice Therapists
